"This time he's sloppy....well sloppy can cause an epidemic!"

The episode starts with the team locking down the lab, in fear of infecting anyone else with an unknown disease. The team first hypothesize that it's a single stranded RNA mutation or a flesh eating disease...untraceable, and entirely new...so maybe the murderer intended on BIO-TERRORISM.
After further investigation, they realize that the disease is not airborne but in fact bloodborne.

The victim's name is Mia, a journalist and blogger. She was engaged to her boyfriend and working on a story about the dangers of mutating pandemics before her death. It turns out that she was sleeping with the subject of one of her stories, so the boyfriend was a main suspect. He was cleared once the team realized that the gauges of his insulin syringes were not big enough in diameter to have implemented the injection. The second main suspect was Dr. Tessa Berk, who is currently working with the mutation of yellow fever.  Dr. Berk was one of the last people Mia talked to. They were working on the same cause together: to educate the public about dangers of pandemic mutations. She gave the Jeffersonian full corroboration of the investigation and was released without further questioning.

Unfortunately, the episode takes on a turn...for the WORSE!  Arastoo gets infected by a needle embedded in the victim's femur....oh no! Cam's lover! Because this unknown disease is bloodborne, his health and life are on the line. Cam wants to send him to the hospital (she's too emotional to think logically...the Jeffersonian has the same equipment a hospital would have and would protect Arastoo from other deadly and contagious diseases that would be at a hospital environment). Arastoo suggests that Cam study him for his symptoms as to better understand and determine the type of disease....it is chikv...but not any type of chikv, it's a mutated strand of it. So the team's best luck of saving Arastoo is to find the killer because the killer would have an antidote, as to not fall victim of his own creation. The team still gets him the chikv serum...which gives him a scary reaction...his arms can't move, his heart rate climbs abnormally fast, and he has a seizure D:

The Jeffersonian figures out that only level 4 labs are capable of producing this type of mutation and Dr. Berk worked at a level 4 lab 2 years ago. Booth questions the director, Mr Thorn, who explains that Dr. Berk stole some chikv culture 2 years ago and that's why she was fired. When Booth questioned her again, she revealed that Dr. Thorn would do anything to keep his $12 billion grant and that he only accused her for stealing the culture to take all her research work.  Dr. Berk told Mia about Dr. Thorn, so Mia was investigating Dr. Thorn for unethical practices. Meanwhile, Arastoo only has 4 hours left to live. Cam fights against another "supervisor?"  into giving Arastoo the herbal serum that Bones and Hodgins made, even though it's against protocol. This slows down Arastoo's death process so that Arastoo and Cam have more time to spend with each other.

Apparently another thing was injected into the victim and it is still growing...prokaryotes....Mia was injected with a virus and bacteria....the bacteria acted as a booster for the virus....this is Class A material and restricted by the CDC. Only someone with this power could have done this. Yep...so Thorn mutated it, and was going to let the virus lose....and then find a "cure" for it...become the hero, get rich! Terrific plan....until he got caught!

Everyone is very mean to him! Why wouldn't they? Their beloved intern, Arastoo is in the bones room, dying. Everyone is pleading Thorn to hand over the antidote. Cam tries to get Thorn to empathize with her....Thorn still refuses to admit to it, and persistently asks for a lawyer. now......Bones "TALKS" to him....injecting him with the virus and asks for the anti-serum LMAO....you go BONES!

angela's funny reaction to the....mia cheating thing...

RATING: 10 I COMPLETELY LOVED IT! I LOVED IT DOWN TO THE BONE!

REVIEW:
To say that this episode was beautifully written is not enough, it's like every element of this episode fits together like a gigantic puzzle. It's like the recipe of your favorite dessert, just enough of all your guilty-pleasures. Drama, Intensity, Emotional Tension, Ethical Issues, Legality, Technology/Medicine related content, Mystery, Uncertainty, Love, Comic Relief...First, this episode is very personal because Arastoo's life is in danger...it's much like the feeling you got watching the Gravedigger episodes, of which Bones, Hodgins, or Booth were approaching death, or much like when Zach was about to die. For this time it's different because of the romance between Arastoo and Cam! It's too sweet to lose, so as I viewer, I was kept on my feet and holding back tears.  I really respect Cam, I don't know how I would ever handle a situation like that. I mean how bad she must feel to see her love slowly die without a certain cure....but DAMN, when she talked back to that "supervisor?" guy about the herbal serum...YOU GO CAM!  USE THAT SASS OF YOURS! What I like most about this episode is that it's not all serious, there are some comic relief moments, but they are appropriate. For example, when Sweets and Angela were talking about how Mia cheated on her fiance...Angela: Sweets, if Hodgins did this to me... Sweets: I know. You'd want to kill him. Angela: No. I WOULD kill him. Sweets: Yeesh! The only thing I didn't like was...well I shouldn't be too critical because it's something that should be seen as the most common motives of murder...well maybe I was emotionally frustrated because I didn't want Arastoo to die, but I was frustrated with the fact that Bones keeps using Sleeping Together as a good motive for murder...it's just like WHY IS EVERYONE SLEEPING TOGETHER...? Is that the reason for everything? It's like in TRIALS OF BROTHER JERO, oh...that's why he's not letting me beat my wife, that's why he has a nice velvet cape, because he's sleeping with her....this far into the series, i say just want to say, come up with something creative, please! Sex isn't everything!

In order:
the investigation, Mia, Arastoo: sick, Dr. Tessa Beck, and Dr. Thorn.....that....alsdkjfasdkjagf eww!
